We
are WACKY, we are WILD, we are totally OFF THE WALL
and we are FOR HIRE!!!
Introducing the Tortuga Twins: the corporate world's most innovative
interactive comedy troupe. A multi-talented team with an extensive performance
background combining over 30 years of comedic audience participation and
improv experience, we can turn any boring, run of the mill event into
something quite unforgettable.
Our individual training begins in the early days of our schooling and
continues on into twenty-odd years of variety performances both around
the United States and internationally. We have studied various performance
techniques to hone our craft, and taken up staged combat and movement
skills to add a dash of flair and an air of danger to almost everything
we do.
IOur repertoire includes a variety of audience participation and physical
comedy shows, as well as staged combat stunts and themed interactive characters.
From these we can provide a number of pre-packaged characters, scenarios,
and performances or we can go a completely different route and tailor
a show specifically to fit the theme of your program or event.
So if you are looking for a professional, versatile, dependable,
and above all fun crew with the background and experience to handle
even the biggest enterprise, then the Tortuga Twins are the trio
for you!

Last survivor
of a distant race of supermen
Jef Hall is the baby of the group (1966). With a father in
the Entertainment field, his early childhood was a little less normal
(he has fond memories of being bounced on Rip Taylor's lap!) He's
had extensive voice training since age 9 and it paid off when he sang
in the Opera La Tosca a few years later.
Four years of mime training led him to be a professional mime for
awhile (We know, we're embarrassed too!) The Originator of the group,
he joined forces with Riki in 1987.
Besides being the "handsome and charming" Twin, and an
accomplished Mime (he's even taught), he has a beautiful Singing
voice, a flair for Stage combat, and is a great little Dancer too.

A Genetic
Experiment gone hopelessly awry
Riki Robinson was born like the song goes "late December
back in '63" And with a father in the state department had the
most interesting childhood of the lot. He has fond memories of Pakistan,
(where he was born) Hong Kong, Japan Thailand, Germany and England,
and even remembers chasing butterflies in Laos during the Vietnam
War .The Best stage Combatant in the Group, and fight director for
the troupe, he directed the Highly acclaimed Human Chess Match at
the Bay Area Renaissance Festival of Largo for six years He is constantly
honing his fighting and directing skills as well as pursuing a second
career in literature.
Originally a street Character at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival,
he co-founded the group in 1987 bringing a little comic madness
to us all .
As well as his abilities as a fighter, director and teacher, he's
the fitness guru for the troupe (have you noticed how nice his butt
looks?), and he even does windows.

Raised in
the forest by a pack of wild Otters
Ronn Bauman was born in 1965. After a relatively
normal childhood, and a brief stint in the US Navy, he decided it
was much more fun to make people laugh for a living than to launch
missiles at them from a submarine. With this in mind, he started doing
comedy in 1989. Originally involved in a solo show as a juggler, he
joined the Tortuga Twins in 1990.
The Comic "Point Man" of the group, he takes the responsibility
as narrator, storyteller, and "heckler control" (as well
as taking most of the blame ). A razor sharp wit and lighting fast
comic reflexes have made him very unpopular in "Biker bars"
throughout the country.
Besides a funny voice and too much hair, he brings to the group,
skills like Juggling, Stage Combat, Nuclear missile launching and
is a darn fine Cook, too.
